Who We Are
Bluestone Beef is a composite seedstock cattle operation at Amaroo, Blackville NSW, led by Duncan. Built on an Angus base, our program blends the best traits of multiple breeds to produce a black, polled animal with strong early growth and a moderate, easy-doing maternal female. Our sires bring longevity, docility, and soundness at moderate mature weights — genetics that are uncomplicated, practical, and built to work in commercial conditions.
Our Breeding Philosophy
Science drives every decision we make. We use heterosis — hybrid vigour — to fuel maternal efficiency, cut input costs, lift growth rates, and get cattle to market specification earlier, with a lower carbon footprint. Every sire is backed by data: top 5% for average daily gain, out of dams with a 96% pregnancy rate from a 42-day joining period, and averaging 38cm scrotal circumference at 12 months of age.
